Donating to PIA

PIA graduates have been serving the transportation industry for over 80 years. You can help PIA continue to provide quality education and career opportunities to current and future generations. Make a gift today – your contribution will touch lives in Pittsburgh and around the world.

How to donate

Because PIA is a not-for-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status, gifts of cash, including checks, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover, are considered tax-deductible donations. Checks should be made payable to Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. To make a credit card gift, call 1-800-444-1440 and ask for the bookstore, or give securely online by clicking here.

For questions regarding donations to PIA, please contact the Finance office at 1-800-444-1440.

Matching gifts

Often gifts to PIA can be doubled, even tripled, by matching funds from companies and foundations. Check with your company’s (or your spouse’s company’s) human resources office to see if they will match your donation.

Designate your gift

If you have special instructions on how you would like your donation to be used (scholarships, building improvements, training aids, etc.), we will gladly allocate the funds in accordance with your request.

After finding out the real meaning of winter, I returned to the 'Burgh and USAir as it was called. I spent 18 years...

"PIA showed me the way! I started working for US Airways in Harrisburg, PA three days after my graduation. Currently, I'm working on helicopters for the Maryland State Police. There's nothing else I'd rather be doing. This is a great field and PIA was THE school to go to!"
