Rotorcraft Systems & Maintenance

This elective course was originally designed to familiarize FAA field inspectors with the intricacies of rotary wing aircraft (helicopters), and it has become a popular elective course for PIA’s full-time students. The course provides an interesting look into the history of helicopters, the peculiar aerodynamics of rotorcraft, and helicopter flight controls and basic engine installations.

    PIA took me from my high school days of just "getting by" and passing the time until school was over, to preparing for an industry where school never ends.
