Aviation & Technology Programs - Placement Department

PIA’s Placement department seeks out employment opportunities for both graduating students and alumni. Therefore, our pool of skilled technicians includes both entry-level and experienced individuals.

We work one-on-one with recruiters and hiring managers to match our graduates with positions that are a good long-term fit for both employer and employee.

On-Campus Recruiting

PIA hosts company representatives for presentations and on-campus interviews on a regular basis. On-campus interviews are open to alumni as well as PIA students who are about to complete their training.

Recruiting visits are generally most successful in the weeks prior to graduation dates, which fall in March, June, October, December, and January of each year.

Employers who are interested in posting open positions and/or visiting PIA’s campus can either submit the online contact form or contact Gregory Null, Placement Supervisor, at 412-346-2101.

Five years later I moved to Minneapolis, MN, to work for Northwest in the wheels and brakes shop. After finding out the real meaning of winter, I returned to the 'Burgh and USAir as it was called. I spent 18 years...

"PIA showed me the way! I started working for US Airways in Harrisburg, PA three days after my graduation. Currently, I'm working on helicopters for the Maryland State Police. There's nothing else I'd rather be doing. This is a great field and PIA was THE school to go to!"
