William Foster, Airframe and Powerplant Manager for General Atomics, presented to upcoming graduates at the Pittsburgh Campus today. They are currently seeking to fill nearly 100 aviation technician positions within the next 12 months. But like many other aviation companies, General Atomics is not looking to hire just anybody.
“We desire the best of the best”, said Foster during today’s presentation referring to those that excel both academically and with reliability in PIA’s programs. Foster pointed out that while employees can make a large early income with GA, finding the right qualified individuals that would enjoy the extended relocation requirement can sometimes be tough.
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems is a UAS company operating out of Palmdale, CA that has been responsible for developing and maintaining Predator drones such as the Reaper and Avenger. Both students and faculty were impressed and intrigued with the sophistication of systems used by General Atomics.
