Myrtle Beach Ribbon Cutting Ceremony 2012
Jan 17, 2012On January 12, 2012 PIA cut the ribbon to it's fourth location in Myrtle Beach, SC.
We were pleased to have Tom Rice - Horry County Council President,
John Rhodes, Mayor of Myrtle Beach, H. Neyle Wilson - President,
Horry Georgetown Technical College, John Graham III - President, PIA,
Suzanne Markle - Executive Vice President, PIA and Peg Jackson- Campus Director,
PIA as our speakers.
There were countless hours of planning, meetings and work that went
into opening up this location.We could not have done it without our partners at HGTC,
Myrtle Beach Economic Development Board,
Myrtle Beach Community Appearance board, the City of Myrtle Beach,
Horry County and of course PIA faculty and staff.

Myrtle Beach gets FAA Certification

Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, founded in 1929, is a nationwide leader in Aviation Maintenance and Electronics training. PIA currently seeks a full-time instructor to teach Electricity and Electronics courses. Minimum requirements: 3+ years related work experience in the field; Associate degree in a related area of study. Aviation-related training and experience and or A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) Certification preferred but not required.
Normal schedule is Monday-Friday, from 7:30am to 3:30pm. Salary is negotiable based upon skills, certifications, industry experience and teaching experience. Interested candidates should submit resume and salary requirements via email to Gary Hoyle, Director of Campus Operations (
