Hagerstown Campus Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On Saturday , April 30, 2011, PIA welcomed Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley to celebrate the opening of our newest location. "Maryland is well- postioned to recover more quickly than other states because of our talented and skilled workforce. We must build on that strength andcontinue our work to prepare Marylanders for the new economy" says, O'Malley. With over 80 years of training in the Aviation Industry, PIAinstructors and staff are excited to bring the education and experience that Marylanders need to help strengthen the community.
The first Hagerstown class started on Friday, April 29, 2011 with a full class! The students came to the ribbon cutting ceremony to be part of PIAhistory and to talk about how excited they are to get their careers started. Dr. James Mader (Director), Mr. Mel Williams(Hagerstown Campus Director) and Mr.John Bergthold (Instructor) worked tirelessly to get the new campus up and ready for the first day of classes. What anoutstanding job they did! We strive to help everyone who is interested in getting an education in Aviation, but classes fill quickly. We welcome anyone who is interested in the next class starting September 1, 2011 to apply and hold their seat today.
Thank You Maryland we are excited to be part of your community!

About PIA

After six years of military aviation, I came to the school thinking it would be easy. Now in my third quarter, every class has been a challenge. I really appreciate how the instructors help with any questions the students have and the faculty in helping us pursue scholarships and grants. It was very exciting to learn that I was one of the 10 recipients of the Imagine America Awards for fall 2011. Attending PIA has really been beneficial and I look forward to what's next.
