Adult Students
As an adult, the transition to full-time student can be challenging both mentally and financially. As you bring your previous life and career experience into the classroom, you will find qualified faculty members ready to train you to become a certificated aviation technician.
The training at Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA) provides adult students with a dynamic learning environment featuring hands-on learning in a hangar of functional aircraft. Qualified faculty present thorough instruction as they blend their practical experience with new information and techniques through projects that mirror the work students will complete as aviation technicians.
Our Career Services Department will help you find your path as an aviation technician through on site Career Fairs, onsite employer presentations and interviews, and one-on-one career planning opportunities throughout your training.
