WEST MIFFLIN, PA – The hangar was hustling on Wednesday, May 4 as PIA hosted a Career Fair at its main campus. 45 employers – represented by at least 12 PIA alumni – connected with more than 300 students and conducted 63 interviews. Almost all led to job offers or conditional offers pending A&P certification, demonstrating that this is a great time to pursue a career in aviation maintenance.

“PSA Airlines keeps coming back each time because of the level of dedication the faculty has in preparing the students for a career beyond the classroom. The students graduate PIA and come to PSA Airlines ready to learn, grow and inspire the mechanics around them,” said Josh Maxwell, Maintenance Recruiting Supervisor at PSA Airlines.

Representatives from Endeavor Air also make it a point to attend PIA – Pittsburgh Career Fairs.

“In terms of the quality of the program for A & P certification, Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics sets the bar very high for other schools to follow. Their students receive outstanding training & guidance, which prepare them well for future success,” said Eric Wagner, Program Manager, Tech Ops Outreach & Recruitment for Endeavor Air.

Opportunities abound! Building on the momentum of 8 Career Fairs at PIA campuses in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022, the trend for aviation hiring and careers for PIA grads continues to soar. It’s never too early or too late to start thinking about a purposeful career that you can take pride in!
