Two third-semester students were honored by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) on August 3^rd, 2021.  Jacob Woods and Jeffery Linton, both students at PIA Hagerstown, were awarded the very first Walter Green Memorial Scholarship through the EAA.   The scholarship honors Walter Green, a longtime member of the organization.  Mr. Green had a passion for flight and building aircraft and contributed to the reactivation of the EAA.

The scholarships were awarded based on numerous factors including attendance and academic success.  Most importantly, the scholarships were awarded based on their overwhelming desire to continue and complete their training in aviation maintenance.  The scholarships can be used to assist the students with tuition, books, supplies, or testing fees.
