PIA Hagerstown Student Awarded First Mr. Bob Scholarship

Courtney Thompson, a third-semester student at PIA Hagerstown, was awarded the first distribution of the Mr. Bob Scholarship.  The scholarship was created in memory of Bob Stockslager, a PIA Pittsburgh graduate who returned to PIA as an instructor at the Hagerstown Campus later in his career.

His wife, Carla Stockslager, joined Edward Jones’s representatives Valerie Walters and Benito Vattelana in presenting the award.

Currently, Courtney is employed with Spirit Airlines as an A&P Mechanic Apprentice at the Baltimore/Washington International Airport.  After receiving her certification, Courtney is looking forward to seeing how her career grows.

Congratulations to Courtney on this award!
