Myrtle Beach Places 2nd in Olympus Eventkbaker
Congratulations to Team Myrtle Beach on their win at the Aerospace Maintenance Competition. Student Tom Schellhorn, a 1st semester student, earned a score of 201 in the Olympus Ultrasonic Thickness Testing event. The 2nd fastest time in the event category earned the team an Olympus Ultrasonic Thickness Gage, used for non-destructive testing.
Competitors were asked to calibrate an ultrasonic thickness gauge and verify the thickness of various acrylic panels.
This is the fourth AMC competition PIA Myrtle Beach has participated in, and the second event win for the school. Congratulations to all the competitors for their success!
