PIA Myrtle Beach student Leticia De Lima was honored this month by the Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club with a $2,000 scholarship.

Pam Dalton, Judy White, and Susan Sparks of the Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club came to the campus to present De Lima with her award.  The club promotes volunteerism and caring for the community through the service and leadership initiatives of its members.

De Lima is in her fourth term of study at PIA Myrtle Beach.  In addition to pursuing her education at PIA, she works as a Mechanic’s Assistant at Helicopter Adventures.  Her goal in aviation is to work with a major cargo carrier repairing and maintaining its fleet of aircraft.  She follows in her mother’s footsteps of rising to challenges, pursuing knowledge, and achieving goals, as she said in her essay.  De Lima will graduate from PIA Myrtle Beach in January 2022.
