REQUIREMENTS

To be admitted to PIA, you must:

  • Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalency
  • Be at least 16 1/2 years of age (Main Campus)
  • Be at least 17 years of age (Branch Campus locations)
  • Complete a Math Skills Assessment (MSA)
  • Complete a Wonderlic Assessment
  • Complete an application and enrollment documents
UNDERSTANDING YOUR AVIATION TRAINING

Aviation technicians are in high demand due to the industry shortage caused by current technicians reaching retirement age and less people pursuing careers in technical trade. Those positions need to be filled by well trained, safety focused aviation technicians.

Technological advancements continue to create more opportunity within the aviation industry. The projected growth for aviation technician positions is 11% by 2030, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
