Derek Vrabel, PIA Pittsburgh’s Student Services Coordinator, earned the 2023 ACCSC Commitment to Education Award.

The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) presented Vrabel with his award during their annual conference last week. The award recognizes the outstanding efforts of a school’s staff who is providing outstanding contributions in support of the school’s mission, its students, and its community.

Vrabel’s nomination packet was filled with references to his “consistent and unwavering” commitment to student success at PIA.

“Winning this award is one of those times when you realize how far you’ve come in life,” Vrabel said in his acceptance speech. “It is quite an honor.”
