Scholarship Opportunity: Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach

PIA Myrtle Beach is honored to have received the support of The Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach, who is offering a scholarship for a deserving student enrolled at the campus.

The award was established to honor the memory of General Robert H. Reed, the last General to serve over the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.  He worked with the Myrtle Beach Air Base Redevelopment Authority to transform the former base into present day Market Common, where PIA Myrtle Beach is located.  His passion for aviation continued after his service in the Air Force as a member of the Order of Daedalians, an organization who honors those who fly and flew in defense of the United States.  As the Rotary Club prepared to establish the scholarship in his honor, they felt it was fitting to benefit an individual in the field of Aviation.

Thank you to The Rotary Club of Myrtle Beach for this opportunity for students, and thank you to General Reed for your continued service to the Myrtle Beach community.  Students interested in applying for the scholarship are encouraged to visit the Scholarship Page or see Mindy Pavilonis on campus.
