Washington County Public Schools Career Luncheon

Washington County Public Schools Career Luncheon

PIA Hagerstown was able to participate in the Washington County Public Schools’ Career Luncheon on December 10th.  Barbara Martin, Admissions Representative at PIA Hagerstown, was able to speak to 5th-grade students about PIA and careers in Aviation Maintenance.

After the luncheon, students completed surveys regarding the new career opportunity they learned about.  Despite the amount of time the students have to select their career field, many took away information that can be helpful to anyone researching PIA.  In response to the question, “What are some interesting things you could tell a friend about this career?”,  student’s answers included:

“You get to figure out how planes are built and manufactured.”

“It is challenging.”

“You can use cool tools when you are working!”

Thank you to Washington County Public Schools for opening your doors to PIA once again.  We look forward to participating in the Career Luncheon again next year!
